My inspiration comes from…
My work is inspired by everything around me. I can be moved by light, pictures, conversations overheard on public transportation. Anything has the power to inspire me because life as a whole is inspirational.
The Story…
The poems I'm showcasing explore themes of grief surrounding death but also life. Living as a member of the global majority means experiencing hardship but there is unity in that. And above all else there is love, and that's what keeps people going.
These poems are about making a big moment out of the little ones. My people are complex, wanting, loving and living on even if just in name. I want their stories to be told loudly, shining light on the intimate moments I get to experience.
